Transplants is back to the studio
14/10/2004Travis seems to hate downtime.
He owns a clothing line ("Famous Stars and Straps"), a record label ("La Salle Records" that recently released Nervous Return's "Wake Up Dead" ) and a restaurant ("Wahoo's Fish Taco"). He's also an avid collector of classic Cadillacs and plays drums for blink-182, Box Car Racer and the Transplants.
So it came at no surprise that after the end of blink182's US tour, he met the other guys from Transplants ( Tim Armstrong and Rob Ashton ) to prepare the next band's LP. His drum tracks are already complete !
Travis said this new album should follow in the same vein as self-titled 2002 debut, but few songs should bring a new sound to the band.
Some hip-hop influences, a few hardcore, a few '30s-'40s, a few jazz ...
If this version is as bizarre than the previous one, we can expect an excellent CD !
