House Painting ...
01/06/2004Tom DeLonge and Mark Hoppus helped complete a project for Habitat for Humanity, which provides homes for people in need using volunteer labor. As DeLonge and Hoppus applied white paint to the house in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Travis Barker sat nearby in a folding chair eating a burrito. But the Blink-182 drummer is no slacker—-he's wearing a cast and using crutches after some recent foot surgery.
DeLonge told the Associated Press, "I usually paint unicorns and leprechauns." He continued, "That's not needed here, but it's always an option."
Blink-182, who played a show later that night in Hershey, PA, spent about 40 minutes at the project site. Of Habitat for Humanity, Hoppus remarked, "This program is awesome, really cool." He added, "We're stoked to be a part of it."
